he Computer Science Education Coalition is a nonprofit organization comprised of businesses and NGOs focused on securing federal funds that will provide computer science education to all K-12 students. It is our vision that all American students will possess computer science skills so that they can compete in the global economy.

We are a broad-based coalition of businesses and NGOs who want to expand access to computer science education in K-12 classrooms across America.

The Computer Science Education Coalition is urging Congress to provide $250 million in federal funding for K-12 computer science education this fiscal year to help fill critical U.S. jobs and ensure America remains globally competitive for generations to come. The federal funds will complement the exemplary work already being undertaken in states across the country.

Voices for Innovation (VFI) is a Microsoft supported community of technology professionals and everyday Americans who help advance technology, IT job growth, and businesses of all sizes. As empowered citizen advocates, we work together to shape public policies for our 21st century digital economy and society.

VFI's most engaged members form the organization’s Advisory Task Force. Our leaders hail from California, Florida, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, Washington State, Washington DC, and many other states.

Members of the Task Force bring their diverse business perspective to discussion of tech public policies. Task Force members also serve as ambassadors for VFI to their local tech and broader business communities. Even before we formed the Task Force, these highly engaged VFI members have been active in supporting public policies that foster innovation and business growth. They have met with their federal and state legislators and visited the White House for a meeting with Administration officials. One Task Force member — Naomi Moneypenny — testified at a Senate hearing about the value of software patents. Several Task Force members participated in trips to China.
